What We Do
I specialize in training pet dogs for first-time dog parents. However, we also work with any dog and parent struggling with common training problems such as pulling on the leash, recall issues, and off-lead manners.
If you're looking for advice on how to manage and train your first dog or solve these common training problems, we're here to help. We'll listen to your struggles and concerns and offer the best advice to make things easier.
We focus not only on what training will be best for your dog and most effective, but also on helping you understand the training process so that you can confidently keep up with all the training without any worries.
Our goal is to train pet dogs to be the best pets they can be for you. We believe in helping dog parents understand their dogs better, showing you what you can do to make your dog's life more enjoyable, while also building the strong connection we all want with our dogs. This stronger connection makes training a walk in the park, while also ensuring that any dog that is struggling can be understood and a training plan is in place to stop them from struggling and show them a simple path to being a well-behaved dog.
This soon turned into offering dog walking for dogs who have some training struggles such as poor manners around other dogs, no recall, and lead pulling. We provide a limited solo dog walking service for dogs that cannot participate in group dog walks. You can find our more about our dog walking services here
Why I Do It
We all remember our childhood family dogs. We have amazing memories of how friendly and loving they were, almost like they were sent from heaven.
I remember my first dog when I was six years old. She was a Lhasa Apso called Sassy. I remember driving all the way home from Bridlington with her snuggling on my lap. She was such a loving and cheeky little girl. One of my other memories of her is trying to teach her to jump through a hula hoop in the kitchen and failing miserably.
After Sassy, I didn't have a dog of my own until I was 19 years old, a lovely Shar Pei called Esta.
When we get our first dogs, we want them to be like those family dogs we had as kids. So, making sure that we start them off right in puppyhood and know how to get them to do the good things we want them to do is our main priority as first time dog parents.
This is why dog parents, especially first-timers, who have just got their own dog and want to do everything right by them so they can have a great life together. However, they may struggle to understand all the information in the dog world. I want to help them learn specific things they need to do with their unique dog to ensure that they can have a well-behaved dog, just like the family dogs we had as kids, with training that is simple, enjoyable, and enriching for both you and your dog.
