Shona - Dog Trainer

Hello! My name is Shona and I am the founder of Gracious Dogs, which was established in 2017. I have been training dogs for more than 10 years now and have worked with a wide range of them. From rehabilitating those with behavioral issues to assisting first-time dog parents with their puppies, I have seen and dealt with it all. I have also had the opportunity to work with dogs in re-homing and boarding kennels, helping them adjust to new surroundings. With a BSc in Canine Training and Welfare, I am well-versed in all areas of training and welfare, but I always prioritize the well-being of each individual dog in my training programs.
Carol - Dog Walker

Meet Carol, our dog walker at Gracious Dogs. She specializes in walking dogs that require individual care and attention during their walks. Carol loves and cares for all dogs as if they were her own, and she enjoys spending quality time with each dog during their afternoon walks. She makes sure that each walk provides enrichment that is suitable for them, whether it be sniffy walks through the woods for the spaniels or long leg stretches through the fields for the vizslas. Carol ensures that each walk is tailored to the individual dog, so they have a great time.
Lyka - Training Tester
Lyka is Shona's rescue Shar Pei who helps Shona improve her training skills and techniques. Since joining our team in 2022, Lyka has become a co-host of our training tutorial videos, demonstrating training activities and helping show other dog parents how they can simply make their dog's life more fun and enriching. She is incredibly intelligent and loves to learn new things. Her eagerness to learn makes her a great training tester, and she is always up for trying out new training methods, techniques and activities. But mainly anything that involves getting cheese.
